I have a Solo EX

sometimes when I play back audio, I start hearing a "static" sound but just for a bit. Sometimes it happens when there's alot of bass. The weird thing is my recordings are fine. It only happens when I playback.

Also, I'll hear "pops" and then the left speaker gets alot louder than the right. So I have to adjust the balance in my Master volume controls.

I hope someone out there can help me, this is getting really anonying and i feel like getting another one. I love my Seasound though

thanks in advance.

also I tired putting my headphones on and I can still hear the left channel being louder than the right. so its gonna be a sound card issue or computer issue.

You're lucky, I got a very noisy Solo. I used to have -78dB with the computer I built. Now I'm using a Dell and I have about -40dB.

Ouch.

Be happy.

I need to build a new computer.

BTW, did I thank tekhedd for the drivers???

I have exactly the same problem.
Initialy, the difference between left and right speaker was very low and now the difference is very very high (the right button is at 2 and left at 9 or 10).

I don't understand the problem, if someone know this problem, it could be very cool!!!!

I've had my SEASOUND for about 10 years now.  Never had a problem, until recently.  I believe I noticed a change when we cleaned out our computer and installed the latest drivers around October 2009.  My problem is when I record IN.  Before I record the LEDs on my SEASOUND & RECORDING PROGRAM show that there is good or equal signal on the INPUT for 1 & 2 or L & R.  Now after it has been recorded IN, My LEFT channel sounds fine but my RIGHT channel seems to have recorded IN very low and stat-icky.  I've tried different cables and plugging into the FRONT & BACK INPUTS.  I'm thinking about downgrading the drivers, unless anyone else knows what to do, please let me know.  I'll let you know how the downgrading goes.

Downgrading doesnt work.  We even put in the original drivers.  It still doesnt work.  Maybe its just getting old :(

Sometimes a driver update for a different piece of hardware (or windows) can cause problems.

Or, possibly the hardware is dying. :(
