I just finished Fallout 2 for, well, probably the second time. You know, I played Fallout 1 dozens of times. But I only played 2 through to the end once when it came out. Now I remember why. All my best memories are of fallout 1.

I forgot how ultimately disappointing 2 was. I guess you forget the bad parts and remember the good parts. It's good, and still better than a lot of games (hey, I just put close to 100 hours into it). Now that I've replayed it, I remember all the recycled artwork, unresolved subplots, and game-killing bugs. Now I remember why I boycotted Interplay for several years when the game came out. And never played Baldur's Gate. (Or, anyway, years later from a used copy or something.)

So, hmm. I still have Neverwinter Nights and all of its add-ons to play through. I think I'm as far as... chapter 2. Funny how that game gets better over time, as your mind learns to tune out the chunky graphics. :D But it's so... serious. Why do RPGs take themselves so seriously? I understand that you're "in a role" and all that, but hell, I don't take myself that seriously in real life, why should this fictional person with a magic sword and a flying horse?

That is, if I can find some spare time from playing AoC. I also have to write a song. Songwriting is a lot harder than I had expected. Shee.
